Description of Position:
Full Time Director of Music Ministry will coordinate the music ministry at St. Benedict Parish and Preparatory School (in conjunction with the two music teachers in the school). We are accepting applications until May 10th at noon.
Responsibilities:
This person will plan and play our four Weekend Masses, in addition to our once or twice a month school masses, three daily masses for school kids, and the 40-45 weddings and funerals. This person will plan the community music selections and direct the current 12-15 member adult choir and children’s choir. The successful candidate will be a member of the Pastoral Staff and engage in the pastoral decisions and ministry of the parish. The successful candidate would play our 15 year old Allen organ and our Hamilton baby grand piano.

Basic Functions
Coordinates the music program at Calvert House, the Catholic Center at the University of Chicago, and leads the congregation at Sunday liturgies.
