Under "MOC Training" you will find a partial listing of the available training sites and programs for Ministers of Care Training throughout our Archdiocese.  If you are a training site and would like to have your program listed, please contact us at 312-534-5153 or E-Mail: odw@ODW.org and we will be happy to add you to our list. 

 In addition, under "What's New" you will also find information about how to be mandated and how to structure a basic training program.  Please check this site regularly for updates.  We hope to make it a "clearing house" for the latest information on training and enrichment for Ministers of Care. 

ODW Parish Liturgy Program

The Parish Liturgy Program (PLP) is offered by the Office for Divine Worship (ODW) as a two-year program designed to provide both an academic and practical based understanding of the tradition, theology and pastoral praxis of the liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church.  The overall program will build on the experience and wisdom of the participants and explore the documents, rituals and traditions that give shape and meaning to the liturgical life of the Church.

The PLP consists of 4 semesters over a two-year schedule.  Each semester is comprised of units of study that are arranged around various topics: Liturgy and Spirituality, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), The Sacraments, The Liturgical Year, Liturgy and Culture, Environment and Art, Liturgical Catechesis, Liturgical Music, Liturgical Planning, and Popular Devotions.  Each semester consists of approximately 40 hours or 15 weeks of in-class time and an overnight retreat.
