Richard Gibala, Choral Director

 

Richard P. Gibala is Director of Music at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington, Virginia and also serves as Artistic Director of Cathedral Concerts.  He is the Music Coordinator for the Diocese of Arlington and is a charter member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians Council. In 1999 he was honored by NPM as Pastoral Musician of the Year and in 2000 he received an honorary doctorate from the Leonine Institute.

Note: please bring along your own copies of the Eucharistic Acclamations from Marty Haugen's "Mass of Creation" (GIA).  We will be using the "Eucharistic Prayer for Children."  Additional acclamations will be provided in the music handout.

 

Regional Rehearsals:   Rehearsals are scheduled in many locations and on various dates and times.  Everyone is encouraged to participate in as many as possible. All singers are required to attend at least one regional rehearsal and are expected to arrive at the festival with music well prepared.
